In Ghana, violence against children remains alarmingly prevalent with studies reporting that around 9 in 10 children have experienced some form of violent discipline.

GACA (Ghanaians Against Child Abuse) was created to ignite a nationwide conversation about abuse and shift behaviours, mobilising communities, parents, schools and institutions around one simple belief: protecting children is everyone’s responsibility.

The work gained major global recognition at the 2019 Global SABRE Awards in Washington, D.C., where it was ranked #11 in the world among the Top 40 PR campaigns globally selected from 5,500+ entries.
